Life before meeting Jesus

I grew up being sent to church but I was not impressed with anything I saw. I decided I was spiritual and not

interested in religion, to me they were all the same. I studied psychology and became a psychotherapist wanting to help people. I was also a lifelong learner and read a lot.

My encounter with Jesus

Another therapist at work gave me a book written by a Jewish rabbi who had come to believe that Jesus was the Messiah. His book opened me up to wanting to know more about Jesus. I read a lot about Him and

came to believe that He was the Son of God - but it was all still an idea, a belief. Then it all changed! At a conference someone prayed for me to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit and suddenly everything came alive. I had an Encounter with Jesus! I was filled with joy and peace and enthusiasm. I felt like I was a brand-new person. That was in 2018, only 7 years ago. They have been the best 7 years of my life and this is the best year yet. It just gets better and better!

The fruit of my encounter with Jesus

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He healed people when He walked the earth and He still

heals today. We have been praying for people to be healed in the name of Jesus and have seen all kinds of conditions healed: everything from arthritis to cancer. And it all points to the fact that He is who He says He is - the Son of God, and that we can know Him personally.
